our approach to sizing
a wider hand does not mean a longer hand. most gloves are built as though it does.
when we started designing, each of us drew on our own experience of gloves that never quite worked. three things kept coming up: hand width, finger length, and nail length. conventional sizing scales all three together, so going up a size gives you a longer glove whether or not your fingers are longer.
we treat them as separate. her finger length is similar across every size, and width is the only thing that changes between small, medium, large, and extra large. that is why the chart below asks you for two numbers instead of one.
other finger lengths are coming, each with its own full range of widths. the goal is that the proportions of your hand, whatever they are, stop being something you have to work around.

how to measure
- finger lengthmeasure on the palm side of your hand. start at the crease where your middle finger meets your palm and measure to the tip of the finger. do not include the nail. the palm side reads about a centimetre longer than the back of the hand, so measuring from the knuckle will give you the wrong number.
- hand circumferencewrap a soft tape around the widest part of your hand, just below the knuckles. leave the thumb out.
- read it relaxedkeep the tape flat and snug, not pulling, and let your hand rest before you read the number.
- if you land between sizesat 21 cm, small wears snug and medium wears relaxed. both are correct. take the one that matches how you like a glove to sit.
nail length is accounted for in the fingertips, not in your size. every glove holds nails from half an inch to three-quarters, whichever size you take.
